Active 3D scanning uses Apple's RoomPlan framework and requires a LiDAR-equipped iPhone or iPad running iOS 18 or later. The app checks RoomPlan support automatically and offers manual room entry when scanning is unavailable.

Choose Explore the demo room on the home screen to create a preconfigured living room. You can then try layout tools, customize furniture, check boundaries and clearances, manage budgets, and export a PDF plan without scanning a physical room.

Tap Scan a room on a supported device. Hold your device and slowly point the camera at the walls, floor, doors, and windows. Ensure the room is well-lit and avoid standing too close to the walls. The RoomPlan interface highlights structural boundaries as they are detected. Once completed, tap Done to review the scan and create your layout workspace.

The app evaluates the placement of furniture against common architectural standards. It flags objects that block doorways, windows, or walkways, or if a piece exceeds the ceiling height or boundaries of the room. A visual flag (red overlay or status banner) indicates which constraint is broken.

Yes! Select any placed furniture piece and tap the Lock icon. Once locked, the piece cannot be dragged, rotated, snap-moved, or altered by smart auto-arrangements. This is perfect for keeping heavy, non-negotiable items (like a fireplace or a bed) in place while rearranging the rest of the room.

Absolutely. All data processing occurs locally on your iOS device. Camera feeds, room geometries, layout configurations, and budget trackers are saved in the app's local sandbox directory. We do not transmit or store any scanning data on external servers.
