Terms of Service

Effective date: September 7, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TraceOff iOS application ("TraceOff", "the App"), provided by the developer of TraceOff ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The App

TraceOff removes metadata (such as camera EXIF data, AI-provenance content credentials, and other embedded metadata) from photos and videos that you choose to open in the App. All processing happens on your device.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use TraceOff on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. See the End User License Agreement for full license terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to alter files in a way intended to deceive, defraud, or evade legitimate legal or regulatory disclosure obligations
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law
• Use the App to process content you do not have the right to modify or distribute

You are solely responsible for the files you process with TraceOff and for complying with any laws or platform policies (for example, disclosure requirements for AI-generated content) that apply to your use of those files.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

TraceOff Pro may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly) or as a one-time purchase, billed through your Apple ID account.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to at purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its own policies; we do not process refunds directly.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

TraceOff is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While TraceOff re-scans files after cleaning to verify metadata removal, we do not guarantee that all metadata will be removed from every file in every circumstance, and we are not responsible for consequences arising from residual metadata or from files that fail to open correctly after processing. Always keep a backup of important files before modifying them.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

7. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law provides otherwise.
