Short version: TraceOff removes metadata from photos and videos entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded anywhere, we don't run any servers that see your media, and we don't collect personal data.
TraceOff reads and edits image and video files that you choose to open in the app — through the Photos picker, Files, the share sheet, paste, drag and drop, or Shortcuts. All processing happens locally on your device using Apple's system frameworks. Your photos and videos are never transmitted to us, uploaded to a server, or shared with any third party as part of using the app.
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
TraceOff does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.
TraceOff Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription or a one-time purchase through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or store your payment details. Apple may share limited, non-identifying transaction information with us (such as purchase status) solely to unlock Pro features on your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles this data.
TraceOff may request access to your Photos library to let you pick and save images and videos. This access is used only to import files you choose and to save cleaned copies back — never to scan or upload your library.
Because nothing you process leaves your device, there is no server-side retention. Cleaned files are saved wherever you direct them (Photos, Files, clipboard, or share sheet) and are otherwise not retained by the app once you close it, aside from temporary working copies needed to perform the clean.
TraceOff is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
