2. What Data We DON'T Collect
SnapSort does NOT collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal Information: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or user accounts
- Scanned Content: Your documents, receipts, and photos never leave your device
- Usage Analytics: No tracking of how you use the app
- Location Data: We don't access or store your location
- Device Information: No device identifiers or technical data
- Cookies or Tracking: No web tracking, cookies, or third-party analytics
- Advertising Data: No ad tracking or profiling
3. How Your Data is Processed
100% On-Device Processing:
- All text recognition (OCR) runs locally using Apple's Vision framework
- Image classification uses on-device machine learning models
- Document categorization happens entirely offline
- No internet connection is required or used for core functionality
4. Data Storage
Local Storage Only:
- All scanned documents are stored in your device's local storage
- Data is protected by your device's security features (encryption, passcode, Face ID/Touch ID)
- No data is synchronized to iCloud or any cloud service
- You have complete control to delete any or all data at any time
- Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device
5. Permissions We Request
SnapSort requests only essential permissions:
Camera Access
- Purpose: To scan documents, receipts, and product labels
- Usage: Photos are processed immediately on-device and stored locally
- Control: You can revoke camera access anytime in Settings
Notifications (Optional)
- Purpose: To send local reminders for warranties and expiration dates
- Usage: All notifications are generated locally on your device
- Control: Completely optional; can be disabled in Settings
6. Third-Party Services
We use ZERO third-party services:
- No analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- No crash reporting services
- No advertising networks
- No cloud storage providers
- No social media integrations
The app functions entirely offline using only Apple's built-in frameworks.
7. Data Sharing
We NEVER share your data because we never have access to it.
Since all processing happens on your device and nothing is transmitted to our servers, there is no data to share with:
- Third-party companies
- Advertisers
- Data brokers
- Government agencies (unless legally required with a valid warrant for your device)
8. Children's Privacy
SnapSort does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The app is designed to be safe for users of all ages because:
- No data leaves the device
- No user accounts or registration
- No in-app purchases or advertisements
- No social features or communication
9. Data Security
Your data security is ensured through:
- Device-Level Security: Protected by iOS security features
- No Network Transmission: Data never travels over the internet
- Local Encryption: iOS automatically encrypts data on locked devices

You have complete control over your data:
- Access: All your data is accessible within the app
- Export: Generate PDF reports of your scanned items
- Delete: Remove individual items or clear all data
- Archive: Hide items without deleting them
- Complete Removal: Uninstall the app to remove all data

Since SnapSort processes all data locally on your device, there are no international data transfers. Your data stays in your physical possession at all times.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
