Frequently Asked Questions
Which headphones are compatible with PosturePods?
PosturePods is designed for AirPods models that contain motion tracking sensors. This includes AirPods Pro (1st and 2nd generation) and AirPods Max. Standard AirPods (1st and 2nd Gen) do not have motion sensors and are not compatible.
Why does the app request Motion & Fitness permissions?
To measure your head tilt, PosturePods accesses Apple's CoreMotion API to stream real-time motion data from your AirPods. This permission is required for the app's calibration and tracking features to function. Your raw motion data is processed strictly in-memory and never saved.
How do I calibrate my neutral posture?
To calibrate, wear your compatible AirPods, sit upright in a comfortable position, look straight ahead, and tap the calibration button in the app. This defines your baseline. You can recalibrate at any time during a session if you shift positions.
How does posture scoring work?
The app calculates your good-posture score as the percentage of active session time that your head stayed within your configured forward, backward, and side tilt thresholds. A sustained posture alert is registered if you sit outside this boundary continuously for your chosen alert delay.
Where is my session history saved?
All session history, custom notes, comfort check-ins, and ratings are stored securely on your iPhone using Apple's local SwiftData framework. There is no cloud storage or server hosting. You can export history to a CSV file or delete all data permanently in the App Settings.
How do I report bugs or submit feedback?
