By downloading, accessing, or using Own AI, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the application.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Own AI in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. AI Output Disclaimer

Own AI uses machine learning models, including on-device local models and optional Apple Intelligence. You understand and agree that:

• AI can "hallucinate" and provide factually incorrect information.
• Outputs may be incomplete, biased, misleading, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it.
• Own AI is not a substitute for professional advice, including legal, financial, medical, safety, or compliance advice.

3. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Own AI to:

• Violate any law or regulation.
• Create, distribute, or facilitate harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or malicious content.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the app’s entitlement, purchase, or feature limitation systems.
• Use the app in a way that could harm the app, other users, or third parties.

4. Local Models, Apple Intelligence, and Third-Party Terms

Own AI may let you use multiple model providers and runtimes. Your use of a specific model may also be subject to that model provider’s license terms, usage restrictions, and privacy disclosures. When the app links to third-party model terms or privacy information, you agree to review and comply with those terms where applicable.

5. Purchases, Pro Access, and Free Tier Limits

• Own AI may offer paid in-app purchases, including subscription and non-subscription products.
• Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and purchase management are handled by Apple under your App Store account terms.
• Features available in the free plan and Pro plan may change over time.
• Free usage limits may vary by day, by feature, or by release, and we may use dynamic or randomized limits to help prevent abuse.
• Attempts to bypass usage limits or entitlement controls may result in restricted access.

6. Availability and Device Requirements

Some features depend on device capability, iOS version, local storage, downloaded models, Apple system availability, or Apple Intelligence availability. We do not guarantee that every feature will work on every device or remain available at all times.

7. No Warranty

Own AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or error-free performance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Own AI and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses resulting from your use of the app, inability to use the app, reliance on AI output, purchases, feature limitations, or third-party model behavior.

9. Termination

We may suspend or limit access to the app or certain features if required for legal, technical, abuse prevention, or security reasons.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Own AI after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
