1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to HTMLLab ("Application", "Service"), a native educational coding environment designed for learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, semantic markup, responsive layout, and accessibility basics. These Terms of Use, including the End User License Agreement ("EULA") below, constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and the HTMLLab team, concerning your access to and use of the Application.
By downloading, installing, subscribing to, purchasing, or executing this Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are explicitly prohibited from using the Application and must discontinue use immediately.
2. End User License Agreement (EULA) & License of Use
HTMLLab is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and limited license to install, execute, and use the Application strictly for personal learning, education, and local code practice on compatible Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and as otherwise permitted by Apple's App Store rules.
Where HTMLLab is downloaded through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless these Terms provide a valid custom term for HTMLLab. Apple's standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
Under this license, you agree NOT to:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, decrypt, or attempt to derive the Swift source code of the Application (except to the extent permitted by applicable laws).
- Distribute, lease, rent, sublicense, or publicly exhibit modified versions of the native application.
- Use the Code Lab to create malicious code or attempt to misuse the Application for any unlawful purpose.
3. HTMLLab Pro Subscriptions
HTMLLab may offer optional auto-renewable subscriptions, including monthly and yearly HTMLLab Pro plans, that unlock unlimited Code Lab editing and full Academy lesson access. Subscription prices, durations, and renewal terms are shown in the Application before purchase and are processed through your Apple Account.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Refund requests, billing issues, and payment handling are managed by Apple under Apple's applicable App Store policies.
4. Local Code Lab & User Content
HTMLLab incorporates an interactive HTML/CSS/JS Code Lab designed to operate locally on your device for editable lessons, code drafts, static pages, and educational examples. It is not a distribution channel, app-build preview service, or storefront for other applications. Any code drafts and styled templates you write or modify within the local workspace belong exclusively to you.
Because the Code Lab operates locally, you are responsible for the security and integrity of your local code drafts. We do not inspect, upload, store, or transmit your proprietary scripts or lesson work. You agree that HTMLLab holds no responsibility for data loss or application crashes arising from faulty infinite loops or unvalidated JavaScript in your local workspace.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise indicated, the Application including all native Swift interfaces, lesson modules, icons, logos, helper scripts, and structural software code are our proprietary intellectual property. These elements are protected by copyright, trademark, and other international intellectual property treaties.
You retain full copyright and ownership of the raw code drafts, snippets, HTML documents, stylesheets, or scripts you write, modify, or test inside the Code Lab.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, entirely error-free, or compatible with every future iOS version.
In no event shall HTMLLab, its creators, or contributors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of your saved code drafts, data corruption, lost work, or device system failures) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort arising in any way out of the use of this Application.
7. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued usage of the Application following any posted revisions indicates your explicit acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Contact Information
