How are secret variables protected?

When you mark an environment variable as a secret in Curlew, its value is immediately stored in your macOS Keychain. The local configuration file (`workspace.json`) keeps the variable but with its value blanked. Secret values and the credentials in a request's Auth tab are never saved to workspace files, and they are not included when you export or share your collections. Anything you type directly into a header, URL or body is saved as written, so use a secret variable for it.

Does Curlew sync my requests to the cloud?

No. Curlew is local-first. There is no cloud sync, no tracking, and no external storage of your requests. All data remains in your local sandbox workspace directory, which makes Curlew safe to use for sensitive corporate APIs.

How do I import collections from Postman?

To import a collection, go to the top navigation, click the "Import & Export" button, select "Import Workspace, Postman, Insomnia, OpenAPI, HAR, or .http…", and choose your Postman export file (v2.x format). Curlew will preserve your request structure, headers, variables, and bodies.
