1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to ChessMentor. By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, designs, chess lessons, custom exercises, graphics, and source code of ChessMentor are the exclusive property of the app creator and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial educational purposes on compatible devices owned or controlled by you.

3. User Guidelines & Restrictions

You agree to use the application in a lawful manner. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
• Use the application or any of its chess lessons for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the application's design or content.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases & Refunds

ChessMentor offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, ChessMentor Premium, which unlocks the full lesson curriculum, the complete puzzle library, all computer difficulty levels, and the endgame trainer. The app remains usable without a subscription.

Premium is available as a monthly or an annual subscription, each with a 3-day free trial. The exact price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase, and prices may vary by region.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown at purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• If a price increases, Apple will ask for your consent before renewing at the new price.

All billing, transaction processing, and refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple Inc. in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The developer of ChessMentor has no access to your payment information or credit card billing systems and cannot issue refunds directly. For any inquiries regarding purchases or refunds, please contact Apple support directly.

Your use of ChessMentor is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

5. Offline Functionality & Updates

All chess lessons, puzzles, and gameplay in ChessMentor run on your device and work without an internet connection, so your learning stays private and available wherever you are. Some features require an active internet connection: purchasing or restoring a subscription, Game Center leaderboards and achievements, App Store updates, external links, and email support.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChessMentor is provided to you on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will meet your specific learning goals, that it will be entirely error-free, or that any chess analysis will match external engines perfectly.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer of ChessMentor be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the application.
