Welcome to HappyWeb Support! We're here to help you get the most out of your safe browsing experience. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us.
When you first open HappyWeb, you'll be asked to create a 4-6 digit PIN. This PIN protects all parent settings and should be kept secure. Choose something memorable but not easily guessed by your child.
After setting up your PIN, add websites that your child is allowed to visit. Tap the gear icon, enter your PIN, and go to "Allowed Sites" to add websites. You can add sites like educational platforms, approved games, or other safe content.
Personalize the experience by creating a child profile with a name and avatar. This makes the app more engaging for your child while keeping it safe and controlled.
Set daily time limits and bedtime hours to control when your child can use the browser. These settings help ensure healthy screen time habits.
A: To add a website:
A: If your child tries to visit a website that's not on the allowed list, they'll see a blocked page. They can request access to the site, which will appear in your "Access Requests" section. You can then approve or deny the request.
A: If you've forgotten your PIN, you'll need to uninstall and reinstall the app. Warning: This will delete all your settings, allowed sites, and browsing history. Make sure to write down your PIN in a safe place to avoid this situation.
A: To change your PIN:
A: HappyWeb is designed with security in mind. All settings are protected by your parent PIN, and children cannot access or modify restrictions without it. However, no filtering system is 100% perfect, so we recommend active parental supervision alongside the app's controls.
A: Time limits track daily usage. When the limit is reached, the browser will be locked until the next day. You can set limits from 15 minutes to 2 hours, or choose "No Limit" if you prefer to manage time manually. The timer resets at midnight.
A: Bedtime Mode automatically locks the browser during specified hours (e.g., 9 PM to 7 AM). When bedtime mode is active, your child will see a bedtime screen and cannot browse. This helps ensure healthy sleep habits.
A: Yes! In Parent Settings, go to "Activity & Requests" and tap "Browsing History" to see all websites your child has visited. You can review this history at any time.
A: No. HappyWeb does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers. All information (PIN, allowed sites, browsing history, etc.) is stored locally on your device only. We never see your data, and it never leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
A: Word of the Day is an optional educational feature that displays a new word each day on the home screen. You can enable or disable this feature in Parent Settings under "Learning".
When enabled, SafeSearch filters out explicit content from search results. This is automatically enforced for all searches made through the browser.
When your child tries to visit a blocked site, they can request access. These requests appear in your "Access Requests" section, where you can approve or deny them. Approved sites are automatically added to your allowed list.
All websites your child visits are logged in the browsing history. You can review this history at any time in Parent Settings. History is stored locally on your device and never shared with anyone.
