Short version: use the app to inspect and edit your own data files, keep your own backups, and don't redistribute the app itself. The rest of this page is the detail behind that.
By downloading, installing, or using Data Inspector Pro ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
These Terms of Use are the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the app. They incorporate Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the standard EULA for apps on the App Store, and add to it; where the two disagree, Apple's agreement governs.
You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the app on Macs you own or control, subject to the standard Apple Media Services terms that come with every Mac App Store download. You may not redistribute, resell, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits.
The app is free to download and needs an auto-renewing subscription to use, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app before you confirm. New subscribers start with a free trial; if you don't cancel at least a day before it ends, the subscription begins and your Apple Account is charged.
The subscription then renews automatically for the same period and price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Payment, renewal, and refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services terms; the developer never sees your payment details.
If you bought Data Inspector Pro while it was a paid download, you keep
full access without subscribing. Choose Restore Purchases if
the app doesn't recognise your purchase on its own.
Every file you open — SQLite, Realm, Core Data, SwiftData, JSON or property list — is yours. The app reads and, when you unlock it, writes directly to that file on your disk. You are responsible for the files you choose to open and edit.
The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Data inspection and editing tools that touch real files carry inherent risk; use reasonable care, particularly with the query console and bulk operations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The app uses Realm's open-source library to read and write
.realm files, under Realm's own license terms. No other
third-party services or SDKs are embedded in the app.
Features may change between updates, and these terms may be revised from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where Apple's Media Services terms take precedence for App Store distribution.
