Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BrainBubbles ("App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App.
1. No Personal Data Collection
BrainBubbles is designed for families and does not collect or share any personal data. The little information the App needs, such as a player's first name, is kept only on your device and is never sent to us.
In particular, we do not:
- Collect names, email addresses or contact details on our servers or anywhere outside your device;
- Create online user accounts;
- Track individual users across apps or websites;
- Collect location data;
- Collect any data that can be used to identify you or your family.
2. No Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or social media services.
There are no ads and no third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, or marketing inside the App. Almost every game works offline. You need an internet connection only for the one geography game that shows an Apple Maps view, and to buy, restore or manage a subscription.
3. On-Device Information
The following information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:
- Family profiles you create: a first name or nickname, an age and an avatar;
- Game progress for each profile, such as stars, stickers, achievements, streaks and recent play sessions;
- Settings chosen in the Parent Dashboard, such as the daily play limit and hidden games;
- How many free plays have been used.
The player's age is used only to suggest a suitable difficulty level.
Family backup: in the Parent Dashboard you can choose to export a backup file with your family profiles, progress and play history, and import it again later from the Parent Dashboard or when setting up the App, for example on a new device. The file is created only when you ask for it and is saved where you choose (such as the Files app or iCloud Drive). It is never sent to us. Keep it somewhere you trust, as it contains your family's profile details.
4. Apple Features Used by the App
The App uses a few built-in Apple features. They run through Apple's own system services, not through us:
- Spoken words: some games read words aloud using the speech voices built into iOS.
- Maps: one geography game shows an Apple Maps view of the world. It does not access your location.
- Sharing the weekly report: in the Parent Dashboard, a parent can choose to share a short text summary of a player's week (the player's name, games played, stars and minutes). It is sent only if you choose to share it, and only to the app or person you pick in the iOS share sheet.
- Ratings: the Parent Dashboard may show Apple's standard "rate this app" prompt. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Apple.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
BrainBubbles offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, BrainBubbles Plus, after a limited number of free plays. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account details, payment card details or any billing information. The App only checks with Apple whether a subscription is active so that it can unlock games. Purchase data is handled solely by Apple in accordance with Apple's terms and privacy policy.
6. Family Privacy
BrainBubbles is suitable for the whole family, including its youngest players, and is built with privacy in mind. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly receive or store any information relating to any family member.
Purchases and the Parent Dashboard, including its settings and the option to share the weekly report, are placed behind a parental gate, so that young players cannot reach them on their own.
If you believe that the App is collecting personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this Policy, please contact us using the email address below so we can review and take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete. You can delete a family profile, together with all of its progress, at any time in the App: open the Parent Dashboard, find the profile under Family, tap the ⋯ button next to it and choose Delete Profile. Deleting the App removes all of its data from your device. If you have any questions about privacy in relation to BrainBubbles, you can still contact us and we will be happy to clarify how the App works.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the functionality of the App changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we ever introduce features that involve collecting personal data, we will update this Policy and, where required, request your consent.
