Location Data

If you grant location permissions, AeroStream uses your device's location to:

Center the map on your current position
Search for airports near your current map area

Important: Your location data is used only locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. Location access is entirely optional.

2. How We Use Information

The only data processing that occurs is:

Location Coordinates: Used temporarily to center the map and discover nearby airports
App Settings: Stored locally on your device (such as your onboarding completion status)

3. Third-Party Services

AeroStream uses the following third-party services:

Apple MapKit and Location Services

AeroStream uses Apple's built-in map and location frameworks for airport discovery and map display. When you use AeroStream:

Your device may send requests to Apple to render maps and resolve airport search results
Those requests can include map coordinates or airport search terms
No personally identifiable information is shared
Apple's privacy policy applies to those services

Apple Services

AeroStream uses Apple's native location services (CoreLocation framework) to access your device location. Apple's privacy policy applies to this functionality.

4. Data Storage

AeroStream stores the following data locally on your device:

App preferences (such as map display options and onboarding status)
Onboarding completion status

This data never leaves your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties. AeroStream does not have any servers or databases that collect user information.

6. Children's Privacy

AeroStream does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require any personal information to use.

7. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Location Access: You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device's Settings app
Data Deletion: All app data can be removed by uninstalling AeroStream

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AeroStream after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
