Privacy Policy

In short: Offline GPS Location Finder has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no
servers of its own. Your places, tracks, logbook and settings stay on your device unless you choose to
export or share them.
1. Location Data
If you allow location access, the app uses your position on your device to:
- Show your coordinates, altitude, speed and heading, and distances and bearings to saved places
- Record routes you choose to record, including while the screen is locked (background location)
- Guide you back along a recorded route (Backtrack)
- Alert you when you arrive at a target, only if you turn arrival alerts on ("Always" location access is
requested only for this feature)
- Fill in your position in field, aviation and safety tools
Your location is not sent to us. It leaves your device only in the cases listed in section 3.
2. Other Device Features
- Motion & barometer: used on-device for the inclinometer, attitude display, pressure
trends and step-based dead reckoning.
- Camera: used only on screen for camera-based overlays; images are not recorded or
stored.
- Photos: photos you pick to attach to places or routes are copied into the app's own
storage on your device.
- Notifications: used for arrival alerts, safety check-in reminders and sun-event
reminders you set up. They are scheduled on your device.
- Siri, Shortcuts, widgets and Spotlight: the app provides data to these iOS features on
your device. Saved places may appear in on-device Spotlight search.
3. When Data Leaves Your Device
- Apple Maps: map backgrounds and place search use Apple's MapKit, which requests map data
and search results from Apple over the internet. These requests can include the map area or search
text. Apple's privacy policy applies.
- Off-Grid Peer Radar (opt-in): when you start Peer Radar with a group code, your callsign
and position are shared directly with nearby devices running the app that use the same group code, over
peer-to-peer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Nothing passes through our servers. Stop Peer Radar to stop sharing.
- SOS messages, exports and sharing: when you send an SOS text, share a location, or export
GPX, PDF or a backup, that content goes wherever you choose to send it.
- Purchases: subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We
receive no payment details.
4. Data Stored on Your Device
Saved places, collections, routes, recorded tracks, photos you attach, logbook entries, aircraft profiles,
checklists, emergency contacts, safety check-in plans and app settings are stored locally in the app's
storage. A small summary may be shared with the app's own widgets. You can export a backup, and delete data
in Settings or by uninstalling the app.
5. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not collect, sell, rent or trade your data. We have no servers or databases holding user information,
and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
6. Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
7. Your Choices
- Change location, motion, camera, photos, notification and local-network permissions at any time in iOS
Settings.
- Delete all app data in the app's Settings or by uninstalling the app.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes are reflected by the "Last Updated" date above.
